Youth Action International (YAI)Grassroots Technologies to Build Thriving Economies YAI is proving that the most sustainable solution to poverty is job creation. YAI works in rural areas of Liberia to help people break out of poverty providing scholarships, women empowerment programs, public libraries and youth resource centers. Clareo Partners provided a $5,000 seed grant to YAI that was then leveraged with our partner, KIN Global, to become a $50,000 grant for YAI’s small business development initiative. Clareo Partners is also hosting a fundraiser for YAI at Clareo Studios and planning a trip to Liberia to determine how to best partner in the years to come. KivaKiva - Loans That Change Lives. Kiva is a true social innovator. Kiva is the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world. Through Kiva, Clareo currently loans money to thirty small businesses in Togo, Peru, Cambodia, Mexico, Congo and many other countries. We’re helping people open tailoring businesses, increase crop yields, start a bakery and pull themselves out of poverty.
